The Democratic Convention convention to select their candidate for the
presidency concluded on July 29 2004, with a speech by John Kerry. It
was widely regarded as "the most important" presentation he would have
to make, and was watched on television by an estimated 21 million viewers.
Kerry came to the podium at 10:00 pm local, and the speech lasted about
45 minutes (02:00 to 02:45 GMT, July 30). The trend of the data over
this period was positive, with Chisquare of 2853.3 on 2700 df for
p=0.020 and Z=2.0574.
A reasonable question is what the data look like if only US eggs are
considered. Probably most would guess they should show a larger effect,
but the data do not conform to that expectation, and though slightly
positive, the US eggs do not show any substantial trend.
