Athens Meditations

Our egg host in Athens, Panos Axiomakaros, has a regular session with a group working on spiritual development. We discussed the possibility of looking at the GCP data to see if there was a discernable effect during those times. He sent a note with some specific times, allowing me to set up an exploratory analysis.

I would like to inform you that we have had from 3 to 5 and from 10 to 12 of October 2003 a Spiritual Response Therapy seminar in my office (with intense spiritual cleaning work) in Athens, Greece, and wondering if it showed up in our egg activity.

I responded, "Usually, I look at the whole network, with the general assumption being that the effect is nonlocal. For explorations, it is possible to look at individual eggs, and to compare their behavior with the rest. All of this is, as you know, a low signal to noise situation, so we have to be careful with interpretations. I will be happy to take a look, given these caveats, if you send some sharply focused times."

He provided the timing, which was 10:00'-13:00' and 14:30'-17:00' everyday, (3 to 5 and 10 to 12 October), always Athens, Greece time.

The prediction and analysis used this timing quite exactly, forming one trace by concatenating the two periods and then forming an average over the six days, The figure shows the result for the whole network, and for the Athens egg alone. It isn't definitive, but the single egg looks different, and interestingly, the downward trend is consonant with a substantial number of "meditation" events.
